While restaurant experience is not required, the ideal candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit and experience in sales, marketing, restaurant, and/or retail.

Candidate Due Diligence
You will then complete the franchise application for Smoothie King to evaluate. This includes financial statements, credit history, and background information. You will also review the Franchise Disclosure Document and speak with other franchisees in our system at this time to make sure this opportunity is the best fit for you.
Attend Discovery Day and Gain Leadership Team Approval
After weeks of scheduled calls and gathering all required documents, your Franchise Development Manager will schedule your Discovery Day visit to our Home Office in Dallas, TX. This is essentially an interview process for all parties prior to being awarded a franchise. During this visit, you will receive an in-depth presentation from key departments regarding our franchise opportunity, meet our executive staff and management team, and have the opportunity to visit existing locations to experience front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
After receiving your franchise agreement and waiting seven calendar days, you will then execute your agreement and send in the initial franchise fee of $30,000. Once the agreement and franchise fee have been received and finalized, you will be an official franchisee. Congratulations, you have made the decision to Rule Your Future as a Smoothie King Franchise owner!
Orientation & Training
Orientation is a required one-day class which should be scheduled and completed within the first 60 days of becoming a Smoothie King franchisee. Here, we will discuss all the steps involved with opening your store, including budgeting, financing, planning, site selection, ordering, construction, and more. Once complete, you will schedule a meeting with our real estate department to discuss our available locations and select your site, which is the first step toward getting your doors open.
Training will take place closer to your store opening. This is a four-week, required class held at our Home Office for all franchisees and managers. This comprehensive, hands-on course will familiarize you with our core product knowledge and our operational systems.
