Gavin Felder is the Chief Financial Officer for Smoothie King, one of the largest smoothie destinations in the world and the first health & fitness fast casual brand of its kind. Since joining Smoothie King in May 2024, Felder has been instrumental in driving financial discipline and strategic growth initiatives that have further solidified the brand’s performance. Appointed as President and CFO in May 2025, Gavin has taken on a larger role in the day-to-day management of the business while continuing to lead the company’s financial strategy, ensuring Smoothie King is well-positioned for its next chapter of innovation and expansion.
Gavin is a proven leader with over two decades of global experience building powerful teams to drive growth and deliver transformational results. He spent the last 16 years at global restaurant giant Yum! Brands, most recently serving as Chief Strategy Officer where he led corporate strategy, investor relations, M&A, and Yum’s store innovation efforts.
Previously, Gavin served in a range of senior leadership roles while at Yum!, including as Commercial Director for KFC UK, CFO of KFC Africa, and CFO of the Global KFC division, where he was responsible for over $1 billion of operating profit and nearly 25,000 restaurants across 140 countries. Prior to his time at Yum!, Gavin qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton in South Africa and worked at both Ernst & Young LLP and Carphone Warehouse PLC in London. Gavin is a native South African and proud graduate of the University of Cape Town. He resides in Dallas, TX, with his wife and children.
