Our experience with choosing to be a Smoothie King Franchisee has been wonderful! From the very first meeting in Rye, NY when we attended a "Discovery Day" and met with Steve Shields and Natalie Johnson we have felt like we are part of one huge family. Smoothie King Corporate offers excellent Franchisee support and they go above and beyond in their willingness to help us be successful. Anytime we need help we can speak to anyone at corporate headquarters including Steve or Cindy Kuhnau. This experience has been excellent for us and we enjoy dealing with our guests and being part of their healthy lifestyle plan. We also enjoy giving back to the community by supplying smoothies for many charity events. We just opened our drive-thru at our current location over the weekend and the experience just continues to get better!
Upon determining that Smoothie King is the right franchise opportunity for you, our real estate professionals work closely with you to assist in finding and securing the most suitable location for your juice bar business in the market, in addition to negotiating your lease and transitioning through the design and construction of your store.
Smoothie King franchisees are accountable for selecting their own site with the aid of local tenant-rep brokers and our Real Estate Team. The franchisee will work closely with these team members to locate opportunities and, upon finding a site, must submit a site request form to Smoothie King. A member of the Smoothie King Real Estate Team will analyze and travel to review the site. When both parties approve the site, the processes of lease negotiation, design, construction and, eventually, store opening, will begin.

Smoothie Kings exist in all types of locations across the U.S. and can be tailored to fit almost any layout. The typical space is usually 1,000 - 1,400 square feet and is found within neighborhood and community strip centers, power and lifestyle centers or shopping malls. However, we have developed many special locations including regional malls, airports, hospitals, convention centers, arenas, stadiums, universities, health and fitness facilities, mall kiosks, food courts, military bases and other locations that are not situated on the street having the primary trade area restricted by certain trade generators.
